Johnson County DA Orders Retailers to Stop Selling Delta 8
February 25, 2022
Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe has ordered retailers to stop selling delta 8 by March 20th.
The battle over the popular cannabis compound is intensifying across Kansas as law enforcement cracks down following Attorney General Schmidt’s opinion that delta 8 products should be considered a Schedule One Controlled Substance.
DA Howe will have law enforcement deliver letters to retailers letting them know about Schmidt’s opinion and order them to cease selling such products in Kansas’ most populous county.
To be legal in Kansas delta 8 products need to have under 0.3% THC and be derived from industrial hemp.
