Welcome to the New and Improved Kannabis.blog
Kannabis.blog has moved to Substack!
You’ve found the all new home of Kannabis.blog — your favorite Kansas weed blog. The last 4 years of blogging about cannabis culture in the Sunflower State has been phenomenal. We’ve had about 25,000 visitors each year, given away a lot of awesome swag (literally hundreds and hundreds of stickers), and connected with incredible cannabis enthusiasts and legalization advocates.
Today we begin a new chapter.
Here are some important updates for longtime Kannabis.blog followers and newcomers like:
Same Content, Different Home: You’ll still get the high quality content that you’ve come to expect from Kannabis.blog. Rather than being posted on its own website, blog posts will now be found on Substack and Ko-fi.
Fan Club: The Kannabis.blog fan club known as the “SESH” isn’t going anywhere! A revamped experience will roll out on Ko-fi in 2023.
We’ve experienced so many ups and downs with this blog. We’ve been silenced by social media networks (ahem, Facebook) because we post about weed and we’ve been kicked off of financial institutions (most recently GoDaddy’s e-commerce platform) even though we don’t sell weed. I’ve learned a lot about cannabis marketing thanks to the trials and errors of this little ‘ol blog. We experienced exceptional growth during the lockdown
weeks months. Sadly, I haven’t been able to devote as much time as I would like to Kannabis.blog this year but I’m re-energizing and looking forward to the 2023 Kansas legislative session. Making this move to Substack was just what I needed to do to keep this blog going and make it more streamlined to better serve the readers.
Most importantly, I’ve connected with folks like you! I’ve met some amazing citizen activists who work tirelessly to legalize marijuana in Kansas. I’ve also worked with some of the coolest cannabis lifestyle brands. I’d like to think that this blog has helped spread the word about cannabis reform in Kansas and hopefully that has encouraged others to speak out and help end the stigma around cannabis use.
